ME 490

Advanced SolidWorks, Simulation, and Manufacturing

This is a technical elective for students who have skills and interest in serving as undergraduate mentors for design/manufacturing projects within the ME Department.  Special emphasis is given to advanced SolidWorks toolbars related to finite element analysis, computational fluid dynamics/heat transfer, and multi-physics animation.  Students enrolled in the course will collaborate with instructors and graduate student mentors in creating instructional resources for use in future ME 490 courses and exemplary design documentation surrounding a manufacturing mini-project. An overview of course outcomes is given in the attached PowerPoint.
