Archaeohydrology

Inca Irrigation Channel Archaeohydrology is the study of the water management practices of early cultures.  For the last five years I have been studying the Inca site of Tambomachay in Southern Peru.  More recently, I have been fortunate enough to begin collaborations with Anne Pyburn of Indiana University, and Richard Hansen of UCLA, both of whom are keenly interested in Maya water resource management.  The links below provide an overview of my research on Tambomachay (I will add the Maya stuff as it gets more mature).
