Meditative Buddha

 

Nineteenth Century Gilt-Copper Tibetan Buddha, shown in a meditative state, the "ground touching position," symbolizing his overcoming of Mara and the researching of Awakening.  With eyes closed, he sits peacefully on a Louts, with his right hand is touching it and the earth, while his left hand represents meditation.
