Kama Sutra
The ancient Hindu text widely considered to be the standard work on human sexual behavior in the Sanskrit literature. Its origins are attributed to Nandi, the sacred bull who was the doorkeeper for Shiva. He was moved by the lovemaking of his lord and his wife Parvati that he recorded their various divinely-inspired sexual acts for the benefit of mankind. It was formally recorded by Mallanāga Vātsyāyana in the 5th century CE made up of some 1250 verses. A portion of the work consists of practical advice on sexual intercourse. Sexual poses often adorn the ancient walls and relief's Hindu temples.
