Attendance is not mandatory, but is highly
recommended. You will not be graded down for lack of attendance - you
are adults and are not in highschool. However, keeping pace with the
material will be very difficult if you fail to attend the lectures or
fail to participate in the online discussions.

on.
For each discussion point (3-4 sentences) you will

0-15: Below Expectations - points
that merely agree or disagree but don't add anything that had not
already been said,
-
15 - 35: Fair - points that discuss
other posts and agree/disagree based on evidence.
-
35 - 50: Meets Expectations - well
thought out discussions points that add to the discussions and make
reference to other sources or questions.
You will need to post at least two entries per
discussion to receive full credit.
Extra Credit
Extra credit of 50 points (extra 5% of grade) will be
awarded if you submit an online course evaluation for this course.

instructor once you have submitted your evaluation and we will tally
response rates with emails.
50 points of extra credit (extra 5% of grade) will be
awarded for the writing assignment in week 14.
