Kowalski, Jeff Karl. The House of the Governor: A Maya Palace at Uxmal, Yucatan. Norman: University  of Oklahoma Press, 1987.  This book is an excellent source of material about the characteristics of Mayan architecture.  It also provides a very detailed account of The House of the Governor at Uxmal.  I highly recommend it.

Kowalski, Jeff Karl. Mesoamerican Architecture as a Culture Symbol. New York and Oxford: Oxford University Press, 1999.  This book is an excellent source of material about the characteristics of Mesoamerican architecture.

Lothrop, Samuel Kirkland. Tulum, An Archaeological Study of the East Coast of Yucatan. Washington D.C.: The Carnegie Institution of Washington, 1924.  This book is an excellent source of information about Tulum.  It has black and white photos, line drawings and some watercolors.

Maya. Concise Columbia Electronic Encyclopedia. Columbia University Press. 1994.  This encyclopedia article gave a very good synopsis of the Mayan civilization.

Morris, Earl Halstead, Jean Charlot, and Ann Axtell Morris. The Temple of the Warriors at Chichen Itza, Yucatan. Vol. 1&2. Washington, D.C.: Carnegie Institution of Washington, 1931.  This book is an excellent source of information about the Temple of Warriors  at Chichen-Itza. Volume one covers the excavation and restoration of the structure and volume two contains color plates of the stone carvings.

Proskouriakoff, Tatiana. An Album of Maya Architecture. Washington D.C.: Carnegie Institution of Washington, 1946.  This is a large format book containing ink wash artist reconstructed renderings of Mayan structures with some text.
