Ranney, Edward. Stonework of the Maya. Albuquerque: University of New Mexico Press, 1974. This book has lots of nice black and white photos of the main Maya sites with a brief write up about each site.  It provides a good starting place to get familiar with the different sites.

Ruppert, Karl. The Caracol at Chichen Itza, Yucatan, Mexico. Washington, D.C.: Carnegie Institution of Washington, 1935.
This book is an excellent source for information about the Caracol structure at Chichen-Itza.  It has lots of black and white photos and line drawings.

This book provides a detailed account of the development of the Mesoamerican ballgame.
