Read Manly Chapter 5

Lesson Description
This module discusses designing networks that monitor the environment for changes and trends as well as analyzing the data that arises from these networks.

The first main objective of the module is to know the issues surrounding monitoring network design. You should be able to discuss the main issues and how they relate to characteristics of a network, you should be able to postulate a network design given a particular situation and defend your design. The second objective is to learn some new techniques related to detection of changes and trends. In addition to techniques we've already learned, this involves being able to create and use a control chart for the mean

This week, work through the two sub-modules and review Chapter 5 in the textbook. You will need to show mastery of this material in Problem Set 3.
