1. The scientific literature often refers to the bioaccumulation of selenium. Since Se is a required trace element, is this a correct characterization?
2. Se, like most toxicants, has varied toxic impact across species. What do you think are the "drivers" of whether a species is selenium sensitive or not?
3. In the Se regulatory debate, should the precautionary principle and resulting regulatory standards be applied generally to all sites, or should site specific criteria be developed from site specific data?
4. What is the safe level of arsenic in drinking water? The US has had a level of 50 ppb for years without documented ill effect, so why change the regulatory level at great costs to small towns.
