1. The industrialized world has contributed much to global environmental pollution during the last two centuries of their development. In recent decades, attitudes, processes and technologies have changed to limit negative environmental impacts. Is it fair to the developing regions of the world to make them apply current environmental values and standards (which may limit their development) when the developed nations historically did not?
2. What is your sense of the highest priority needs in scientific methodology and data development to aid in the most positive outlook for the global environment?
