Overview

This module introduces you to the general topic of control. While technically it can be considered the final step in the general management functions of planning, organizing, leading, and controlling, in reality control is an on-going and continuous process- it is not a “final step” per say. Control is the management function involving the process of monitoring activities to ensure that they are being accomplished as planned and correcting any significant deviations.
Very few organizations will survive for long if they do not have adequate control mechanisms in place.
