Lesson 2 Perspective: What is Character?

Below find definitions of character by individuals thought to have great character.

"Character is like a tree and reputation like its shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing: Abraham Lincoln

The qualities of a great man are "vision, integrity, courage, understanding, the power of articulation, and profundity of character."  George Washington

Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.  John Wooden.

Talent is god given.  Be humble.  Fame is man-given.  Be grateful.  Conceit is self-given. Be careful.  John Wooden.
