Analysis 1 - Daylight Distribution

The atrium space was clearly designed to allow for maximum amounts of light to make its way into the interior of the WRC, and our inital measurements using the luminance meters showed that the southern offices were receiving sufficient daylight.

However, after attempting to check our findings and adjust for the presence of electric lighting in the study areas, we discovered that our luminace meters' performance was, at best, erratic. This meant we had to rely more heavily on the results of the digital lighting models created by our team.

These models provided a much more consistent performance, but without being able to verify the models to real-life conditions, it is difficult to tell how accurate the lighting levels actually are.

The specific numbers of the measurements often varied greatly, but the overal pattern of light distribution remained fairly consistent across all versions of the WRC, both digital and real.
