Hypothesis 1 - Daylight Distribution

The glazing area in the atrium stairwell space provides sufficient daylight* for the second floor offices on the southern wall.

Data 1

The following page shows the raw data from the daylight measurements taken at the WRC's atrium and office spaces. These floor plan diagrams show the location where each measurement was taken within the study area, as well as the preliminary results for our lighting sweep. Please note that these readings represent footcandle measurements rather than calculated daylight factors, as our team was unable to record consistent daylight records from one session of field study to another.

* Sufficient daylight for these office spaces is considered to be a daylight factor of 1.0-2.5 when measured at the work plane (~3'-0" above the floor).
