Campus Christian Center

The Campus Christian Center is situated on the University of Idaho campus by old Greek Row on the corner of University Avenue and Elm Street.  The center is owned by a private, non-profit organization that also owns the piece of land just north of the building.  The building itself was built in the 1950s and then added onto at its east end a couple of decades later.  It is designed in a pseudo-Wrightian style with a large fireplace/chimney combination on the interior of the building; making use of primary geometries and an almost prairie-house-like profile.  In today’s terms, the structure is grossly out of date.  The walls are simple six-inch thick un-insulated panels that feature single-pane windows.  The building uses a simple gas-powered heating system relying on a single boiler which pumps water through a network of pipes and radiators.

The Campus Christian Center is home to multiple campus ministry events and groups such as discussion groups, Bible studies, focus groups, small luncheons, prayer groups, and faith group meetings.  The people at the Campus Christian Center also provide free food which is open to all students every semester during Finals Week.
